Description
The Professional Scrum Product Owner program was created by Ken Schwaber as part of the community-driven evolution of Scrum.org. It answers the worldwide challenge that many Scrum implementations run into, i.e. how should real Business people involve in and collaborate with Scrum Teams?
Participants of the course will get insights in the broader perspective of Agile Product Management, i.e. managing the complete life cycle of products from a business perspective. Students will learn about managing requirements and functional expectations in a complex environment by using the empirical techniques and principles provided in the Scrum framework.
This course explicitly looks beyond mere techniques, at the creation and retention of Value at an enterprise and organizational level. It revolves around tactics and strategies for achieving “Business Agility”. The Scrum framework will be introduced as a tool that an Agile product Manager can use for working as part of a Scrum Team developing software products. The course will treat topics like maximizing Value, productivity and the Total Cost of Ownership of software products. Students are being taught an empirical mindset via team-based exercises.
The training might be interesting to all involved in software development upon the Scrum framework, but has been specifically conceived for those responsible over products from a business perspective and taking up the highly accountable role of Scrum Product Owner.
