He focuses primarily on architecture and best practices, where he helps companies implement best practices, adopt new technology, and define software engineering strategy. He also does mentoring, is a frequent speaker at conferences and is a college professor. He is on the editorial staff of the .Net Magazine, the largest .Net Magazine in Brazil, after being its editor.
Giovanni founded a software architecture focused user group in Brazil called .Net Architects.
